Panel Discussion: “Children in the City”
The third week of May was a busy one.
I started it by taking part in the event “Children in the City: How Can We Design Spaces That Bring Children Back Outdoors?”, moderated by Filip Springer. The meeting accompanied the launch of the publication “Playgrounds: A Guide for Investors and Residential Designers”, prepared by the Polish Association of Developers.
During the panel discussion “The City at a Child’s Scale – How Spatial Planning Can Support Children’s Development”, I joined Monika Konrad, Anna Piasecka-Bulwan, Monika Wróbel and Daniel Piotrowski to discuss how urban planning and design can better respond to the needs of children and support their everyday development, independence and wellbeing.
That was only the first day.
On the second day, I hosted a Placemaking Poland webinar titled “Can Children Change Our Cities?” together with Agnieszka Krzyżak-Pitura, continuing the conversation about the role children can play in shaping more inclusive and responsive urban environments.
