I’m levelling up! For anyone who doesn’t want to buy my book The City Game on Amazon and happens to be in Warsaw. Starting this Friday, it will be available in the Inbook.pl Nike Bookstore at Puławska 11. At least until the end of the year. And at a better price than on Amazon!

The City Game TVP3 interview

book 'The City Game', city & children

Last Saturday (August 30), I had the pleasure of speaking on the national Polish TV – TVP3 morning show “Dobry Dzień” (“Good Day”) about my book “The City Game,” how children perceive urban space, and why it’s so important to support them as they take their first steps toward independence in the city.

Urban Future 2025

book 'The City Game', city & children, conferences

Magic happens when you least expect it.
That’s what I thought on the last day of Urban Future 2025, as I was leaving a morning workshop at a primary school in Łódź — where we presented the LEGO® Education solution — and heading to lead my own session, “Little Feet, Big City: How Children Navigate the Urban Jungle.”

Writing a book with and for children

book 'The City Game', city & children, placemaking

My first reviewers are always at home. This is the thumb up, I got from my son after he had read the first draft of my book I write with and for children. Because the idea behind my project is prototyping.

About me

My name is Beata Patuszyńska.

Since 2019, I have been developing my own initiative, cityforchildren.pl, which aims to improve how children experience urban spaces. I work with children, empowering them through workshops, and I wrote the book “The City Game”, which helps them navigate their first independent journeys in the city. I also share with adults what I have learned from children – how they see urban space and us, the adults, and what they need to feel comfortable and safe in the city.

I encourage you to read my blog, find out about my experience and offer.

If you have any comments or ideas, please contact me. Let’s talk about children. Let’s talk with children.
