Meeting with Tim Gill
On Sunday, I organised an informal meeting for people interested in child-friendly cities with Tim Gill, author of Urban Playground and the writer of the beautiful foreword to my book The City Game.

I’m levelling up! For anyone who doesn’t want to buy my book The City Game on Amazon and happens to be in Warsaw. Starting this Friday, it will be available in the Inbook.pl Nike Bookstore at Puławska 11. At least until the end of the year. And at a better price than on Amazon!
I wrote “The City Game” for children, but from the reviews on Amazon I can see that adults appreciate it too 🙂
Last Saturday (August 30), I had the pleasure of speaking on the national Polish TV – TVP3 morning show “Dobry Dzień” (“Good Day”) about my book “The City Game,” how children perceive urban space, and why it’s so important to support them as they take their first steps toward independence in the city.
It’s here. For now it is available in paperback (PL & ENG) and EPUB in English. Soon there will be Polish EPUB, PDF and hardcover.
Magic happens when you least expect it.
That’s what I thought on the last day of Urban Future 2025, as I was leaving a morning workshop at a primary school in Łódź — where we presented the LEGO® Education solution — and heading to lead my own session, “Little Feet, Big City: How Children Navigate the Urban Jungle.”
Meet my characters: Hugo, the 7-year-old narrator of my book, his 10-year-old sister Jana and their mum Mimi. See how Hugo explains what the urban game is about. Enjoy and try to play a bit yourself on your way to work!
My first reviewers are always at home. This is the thumb up, I got from my son after he had read the first draft of my book I write with and for children. Because the idea behind my project is prototyping.
