2024 summary

As I prepare for 2025, I can’t help but go back to the highlights of the past year that are still warming me up from the inside.

⭐️ First of all, I finished writing my book “City Games”, which tells the story of a 7-year-old who is preparing to commute to school on his own. It was created with children and for children to support them in their first steps in urban independence. Now it’s time to finish the illustrations with Marianna Dziemska and look for a publisher.

⭐️ Among other urban innovators, I was invited to show my project cityforchildren.pl during the New European Bauhaus Festival in Brussels, I was the ambassador of the Start with Children Summit conference in Bratislava, where I had the opportunity to meet Jan Gehl and Erion Veliaj, meet my friends, among others Tim Gill, whose book has just been published in Poland by Wysoki Zamek and which I highly recommend.

⭐️ What is extremely important to me, because so far I have not been active much in Poland – I was invited to give a keynote speech, lead a panel and become a partner of the conference of the Center for EU Transport Projects “Children and seniors in public transport” and to speak during the panel at the PLGBC Green Building Summit 2024, after which I collected very personal feedback from the real estate world, who doesn’t normally talk about children and feelings, I have conducted workshops and appeared in several podcasts.

And since 2025 has just started and with it new projects, in a few days I will show you the first one.

* when talking about children and the city, you can’t escape love, so I chose a photo for the illustration that I took in 2024 in Milan and which beautifully combines my life roles. On my daughter’s 15th birthday, one of her favorite rappers was playing at the Fabrique club in Milan, and since she had never been to a concert before, she invited me to it and bought us tickets. Since then, we have been to several others, and more are planned.
