2024 highlights
As I prepare for 2025, I look back at my 2024 highlights, as they still warm my heart.
Book The City Game
⭐️ First of all, I finished writing my book The City Games. It supports early steps toward urban independence and I created it with children and for children. The book tells the story of a 7-year-old learning to commute alone. Now I will finish illustrations with Marianna Dziemska and then I will look for a publisher.
Conferences and fairs
⭐️ Secondly, among other urban innovators, I was invited to show my project cityforchildren.pl during the New European Bauhaus Festival in Brussels. I also became an ambassador of the Start with Children Summit conference in Bratislava. There, I met Jan Gehl and Erion Veliaj as well as reunited with friends, including Tim Gill. His book was recently published in Poland by Wysoki Zamek and I highly recommend it.
Poland
⭐️ In 2024 I worked more in Poland, which matters to me, because so far I have not been active here much. Firstly, I gave a keynote speech, led a panel and became a partner of the conference of the Center for EU Transport Projects Children and seniors in public transport. Additionally I spoke at the panel at the PLGBC Green Building Summit 2024. I received there very personal feedback from the real estate field. Usually, this field avoids topics of children and emotions, so it was a very important experience for me. I also ran workshops and joined several podcasts.
These are my 2024 highlights. And since now 2025 begins with new projects, I will share the first one soon.
* when we talk about children and cities, above all love is always present. That’s why I chose a photo I took in Milan in 2024. It beautifully connects my life roles. On my daughter’s 15th birthday, her favourite rapper played in Fabrique club in Milan. Since she had never been to a concert before, she invited me to it and bought us tickets. Since then, we have been to several others, and plan more.
